Keep it real.

Fake Personas

Ever since we were kids, we’ve been looking outside of ourselves... for what?

Heroes. Idols. Role Models..
Someone to be other than who we are.

Some of us try to "Keep it real"
We see people come and people go.
We see people change right in front of our eyes.
We see people pretend to be something, someone they are truly, truly not.

Socially, we naturally tend gravitate to those who influence us somehow.

Sometimes it’s a good influence, sometimes it’s a bad influence…

But the influence makes feel different about ourselves.

Don't get me wrong, The Bad Man will play the games..
But I know it's just games. The shit is NOT real...

Sometimes, influences take us away from who we are,
we adopt the idea of being like someone else
anyone else other that who we are.

Then we try to make this new persona our real life.
Why? Well, because life is hard and sometimes we just want to be somebody different..

It's "The Facade"

The equivalent to living a lie, no one can see who you are.

many put on facades just to impress others.

But here's the catch...

People can see through us when we are not being true to ourselves... pretty easily.

Try this.... Accept who you are.
Know that you are good enough for anybody and anything

You don’t have to change shit about who you are for anyone... Ever.

People who come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime.

Be true to yourself.

Take off the mask.

Why would anyone create a fake persona?

.... fear that we won't be valued for who we really are
.... fear that we'll be hurt if we put our real selves out there
.... fear of what people will think if we're not what they think we should be
.... fear of not fitting into societal norms
.... fear of not being good enough, worthy enough
.... fear that we need to MO'
mo' this,
mo' that,
mo' something
or  we'll be less... of everything.

Fake personas cause a lot of suffering for the person who's not being real.

It takes massive amounts of energy to hold that fake shit together.

And eventually... you're fucked. The true shit begins to show.

  • Try to be spiritual, positive, or non-judgmental. Better to be flawed, human, and who you are, than to be some shit that just isn't real.
  • Be nice. Take the pressure off yourself and apply that energy towards helping others in need.
  • Stop playing roles that take over your real person. Just be you.
  • Projecting the image to friends and family of being the perfect couple, wife, husband, father, mother, daughter, son, etc.... is BULLSHIT!
  • Being what parents or spouses want, or anyone else wants you to be.... is BULLSHIT! Do you.
  • Acting like all the other kids... BULLSHIT!
  • Being over-sexy, or too caught up in being perfectly beautiful or handsome, thinking that's what's necessary to attract the opposite sex... Unless that's how you make your bread Boo-boo it's... BULLSHIT!

People trying to relate to the fake persona will get a sense that something ain't right.
That gut feeling of mistrust.

The longer you fake it, the more you hurt the ones who believed in you.

And that is a bitch ass thing to do.

Mommy’s New Gun - Happy Bitrhday Baby!

Mommy’s New Gun
Happy Birthday Baby!!  This guns for you!!

The Second Amendment

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State,
the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed."

In short this means,
“We The People”, have a right to keep and bear arms.””

This also means,
The next person to break into my house, in the middle of the night, has the right to get his ass shot…

In short, that means
There will be only one side of the story… Do you feel me?

PS., Anyone who wants to prevent you from your right to keep and bear arms, by definition, is an enemy of the Constitution.

Normally, I would never share this type of info.
I don’t want everyone running around getting guns.  Just me, my wife and maybe my two oldest kids.

It is better to have it and not need it,
Than to need it and not have it.

But right now, my reasoning goes like this

If someone breaks into your house, are they coming to chat?
For a pillow fight maybe?

These are bad people.

People who may be desperate, deranged or phycotic motherfuckers…
These are people who have simply snapped.
Rapist, molestors, murderers.

My personal favorite;

Mommies, Aunties, Sisters, Daugthers and Sons…

Firearms are considered Evil.
They are not.

Firearms are dangerous.
They are fucking supposed to be.

Firearms can accidently kill the owner.
So can lawnmower, if you don’t what the hell you’re doing.

There are Rules.

There are always rules….
Please know these are my rules… not those of your local law inforcement agency.

Ps., Thanks LAPD for letting me know this guy will be back on the streets in six months.

Got yourself a gun:
(In your home)

Rule #1
Know your gun.
Not knowing can get you killed.  It’s not rocket science, but it does take a little bit of practice and understanding.

Rule #2
Practice shooting at the gun range.
Become a member.
This also give you an excuse to have a firearm in you car….

Rule #3
Keep you gun in a locked box.

This is Bullshit.

Keep your shit loaded, partially engaged and somewhere easy to get to.
Some unpresumptuous place in plain sight that only you know about.

Rule #4
Never talk about where the gun is
with your friends.
You’d be surprised how often someone you know is out to fuck you up.
One way or another.

Rule #5
Never take it out,
Unless you’re gonna use it.
That means:

Rule #6
If someone forcibly enters your home:
Kill them… And then say, “ Freeze.”

It’s you or them.
Your choice.

Rule #7 Make sure they are not moving.
Call 911 and wait.

Ladies, I recommend this:

Small, light, accurate and powerful:
The GLOCK 27 is the backup weapon for all situations. Because of its comfortable dimensions
and the known advantages of the GLOCK pistol family
it is very popular by police on patrol duty, which is why
many law enforcement agencies issue this subcompact pistol.

Glock jargon aside, it’s the perfect size for your cute hands and manicured fingers…

Can we talk about “aim” for a bit?
I think is important to hit your target.  You must practice!!  Join a gun club and learn the aim!!

It’s THAT simple.

In the event you run into this guy…  Just know he more than likely can’t hit you aiming like that

The side grip is a technique for shooting a handgun in which the weapon is rotated about ninety degrees and held horizontally instead of vertically (as is normally done). Shooting a gun in this way has no practical benefit under most circumstances and makes proper aiming very difficult, but the style has become somewhat popular in rap culture and among street criminals (who do not often use the gun sight) due to its portrayal in U.S. film and television since the 1990s.

Here are some places to aim...
A person will die if shot in the head, heart, lungs, or intestines.

Normally, it takes:
Hours to die if shot in the intestines,
Minutes if shot in the lungs,
Seconds if shot in the heart,
Instantly, if shot in the head.

If the Man is a rapist, please shoot that fucker in the head, heart, intestines & cock.

Myth: Guns are not a good deterrent to crime

Fact: Guns prevent an estimated 2.5 million crimes a year, or 6,849 every day.65 Often the gun
is never fired and no blood (including the criminal’s) is shed.

Fact: It seems to be slowing down property crime (especially burglaries). The legal handgun
supply in America (mainly in civilian hands) to the property crime rate.

Fact: Every day, 550 rapes, 1,100 murders, and 5,200 other violent crimes are prevented just by showing a gun. In less than 0.9% of these instances is the gun ever actually fired.

Fact: 60% of convicted felons admitted that they avoided committing crimes when they knew the victim was armed. 40% of convicted felons admitted that they avoided committing crimes when they thought the victim might be armed. A survey of felons revealed the following: 75
• 74% of felons agreed that "one reason burglars avoid houses when people are at home is
that they fear being shot during the crime."

Fact: Felons report that they avoid entering houses where people are at home because they fear being shot. 57% of felons polled agreed, "criminals are more worried about meeting an armed victim
than they are about running into the police."

Fact: Washington D.C. has essentially banned gun ownership since 1976 and has a murder rate of 56.9 per 100,000. Across the river in Arlington, Virginia, gun ownership is less restricted. There, the murder rate is just 1.6 per 100,000, less than three percent of the Washington, D.C. rate.

Fact: 26% of all retail businesses report keeping a gun on the premises for crime control.
Fact: In 1982, Kennesaw, GA passed a law requiring heads of households to keep at least one firearm in the house. The residential burglary rate dropped 89% the following year.

Myth: Private ownership of guns is not effective in preventing crime.

Fact: Every year, people in the United States use a gun to defend themselves against criminals
an estimated 2,500,000 times – more than 6,500 people a day, or once every 13 seconds.

these instances, 15.6% of the people using a firearm defensively stated that they "almost
certainly" saved their lives by doing so. Firearms are used 60 times more often to protect lives than to take lives.

In 83.5% (2,087,500) of these successful gun defenses, the attacker either threatened or
used force first, proving that guns are very well suited for self-defense.

Of the 2,500,000 times citizens use guns to defend themselves, 92% merely brandish their
gun or fire a warning shot to scare off their attackers.

Less than 8% of the time does a citizen wound his or her attacker, and in less than one in a
thousand instances is the attacker killed.

For every accidental death, suicide, or homicide with a firearm, 10 lives are saved through
defensive use.
When using guns in self-defense114:
• 83% of robbery victims were not injured.
• 88% of assault victims were not hurt.
• 76% of all self-defense use of guns never involve firing a single shot.

After the implementation of Canada's 1977 gun controls prohibiting handgun possession
for protection, the “breaking and entering” crime rate rose 25%, surpassing the American rate.

Myth: You are more likely to be injured or killed using a gun for self-defense

You are far more likely to survive a violent assault if you defend yourself with a gun.

In episodes where a robbery victim was injured, the injury/defense rates were:119

Resisting with a gun 6%
Did nothing at all 25%
Resisted with a knife 40%
Non-violent resistance 45%

According to the U.S. Department of Justice, 27 percent of American women keep a gun in the house and 37.6 million females either own or have rapid access to guns.

The world is crazy getting crazier. Protect yourself and the ones you love.

That’s just real talk.

Good Luck,
The Bad Man

Part one: Your Word.

Be A Man of Your Word

Step one:
Never make promises.
Unless you are absolutely going to keep them.

If you say you’re going to do something….
DO something.

You got somewhere to be?
Fucking be there.
You might be a lil late or a lil early…. But be there.

Real Talk:
All you truly have in this lifetime is your name and your reputation.
When it’s over,
This life…
You are not taking shit with you….
You are leaving shit behind.

And no matter what the fuck you did… Or how much you acquired…
It is your name and your reputation that will be remembered.
…. By everyone!

When I say by everyone,
That means, you need to really think about what the fuck you say
And who the fuck you say it to.

For instance:

You may be the best shit, since shit was invented
…. At your job.
Rock on.  Do your thing baby!
If you’re not “The Shit” at your job, well that’s another topic.

How are you at being her man?
You want to keep your girl?
Keep your word.

It’s that fucking simple and it works both ways…
You say you’re gonna change… Then change!
You say you’ll never change… then don’t fucking change.
Believe it or not, someone might love your ass just the way you are.
Women are very literal creatures. They like to speak and be spoken to...
Your words will have meaning. Careful what you say...

Yeah, sure, there will always be some shit that tosses a wrench in the mix.
Just remember, what goes up, must come down.
Spinning wheel gots to go round.
That’s life.

How are you at being a father?
Want to know how I do it?
I don’t make promises to my kids.
That way, Daddy doesn’t break any promises…. Get it?
Yes, I give my kids things but I give them randomly.
That way, they know I think about em’.

Lesson here: With children, be thoughtful.

Oh yeah. And boys will be boys.....
Just sayin.

How are you at being a friend?

In case you didn’t know, you get like five best friends in your life.
Everyone else is an acquaintance.
So choose who call a friend carefully.

Hint: Best friends put in time and effort.

I can only speak from my own experience when I say…
Most people want something from you.

Sex.  Money. Power. Possessions.Time.
 And they will get it.

Most people, intentionally or not, will leave you feeling fucked over.
Just know, that when you’re in trouble…
Not everyone who shows up is there to help.

How are you at keeping a secret?
Bad Man 101: Rule #2 Keep your mouth shut.
Flipside: Some secrets are fucked and not worth keeping.
Especially if you know the secret is going to fuck over something you care about.

If you drop dime.
That's: Tell on, Snitch, Rat, Squeal, Leak, Blow the whistle..
Be prepared to deal with the consequences. Whatever they may be.

Step two:
Don’t lie.

Think of yourself as a sniper.
Think of your word as a bullet.

“One shot. One kill.”

No matter what you’re doing… One lie can kill it.

Be a man of your word.
And yes, this shit goes for women too.

Bad Man 101 - revisisted

I live my life by a very simple set of rules.
Yet in life, nothing is quite that simple.

I’ve stood by and watched
as other men completely wreck themselves.

I’ve let others unwisely walk themselves
out of a meaningful existence and into darkness.
Where they ended up, I don’t know.

It wasn’t my duty to take care of them.

So what happened?
Why do I feel as if I MUST watch out for others?
How come I can’t just stand by and watch.
My three simple rules… forget about it.

What happened?

Fucking Kids.
That’s what happened.

Although I still live by a very simple set of rules.
I’ve added an ever-expanding list of sub-rules.

I still watch as they wreck themselves, some say that’s mean,
I say never pick someone up before they fall.
After all, isn’t that how we learn?
Don’t we have to fall down sometimes?

Today and for the rest of my time on this rock we call earth,
it is my duty to take care of them.

That being the case here are more rules and thoughts to help guide you,
You who I love so dearly… My fucking kids.

Welcome to Bad Man 101.

You already know rules 1,2 & 3.  But because you’re kids, I’ll reiterate.
Do your dirt by your lonely.
Keep your mouth shut.
Always look good leaving.
Those rules were covered in the introductory class: Ask the Bad Man

Here are some other rules, add them where you want, just understand these are very important and must be adhered to if you want to get ahead in this life.

Rule - Never reveal 100% of anything, to anyone… Ever.
It’s good for people to know that you’re a mover and a shaker.
But it’s none of their goddamn business what you’re moving
… or why you’re shaking.
Learn to speak between the lines.

Rule - Your word is your bond… Always.
If you say you’re going to do something, then you best fucking do it.
Otherwise you are as cheap as your talk.

Rule – A wrong decision is better than no decision.
Simply put.  Stand for something or you’ll fall for anything.

Rule – Work harder than everyone else.
Not just for the money, but to get the experience faster than the next guy.
One day, you’ll be the leader.
It would be nice of you to know what the hell you’re doing.

Rule – You are worth as much as you can ask for with a straight face.
Try it a mirror.  Ask for a million dollars.
Practice until you can ask without laughing at yourself.
When the time comes, you’ll be able to ask a price for your services
… and you’ll get it.

Rule - Never forgive betrayal.

Rule – It is OK to knowingly lie,
to preserve the innocents of a child.
Yes, Santa is real.
Yes, The Tooth Fairy put that there…
No. I’ve never been to jail.

Learn these rules well; one day there will be a test… And won’t be from me.

Good Luck,
The Bad Man

And why we MUST do it.

I’m not saying go start a fight.

I’m saying every male of our species must have at least two, real and meaningful fights in his lifetime.

The fight when all the rage, courage and raw emotion escape your control.
When you could… but you don’t actually kill someone.
(This usually means you won.)

The fight when you have no idea what the fuck is happening to you.
More and more stars magically appear before eyes…
When you could… but don’t actually die.
(This usually means you got your bitch ass whooped!)

Yes and yes, at least twice in each for me.

In your lifetime, you will have fights, or what they call fights nowadays, where you scream and curse, and cry and throw shit against a wall or out the window and even walk out….
That’s not the type of fight I’m talking about.

You may even find yourself in a fistfight and give or get a bloody nose or even a busted lip…  Again, not the type of fight I’m talking about.

I am referencing the rare and worthy fight

The fight that gives or takes your inner spirit, chains or frees your soul, clouds or clears your mind and builds or breaks your will.

Here are some examples of the fights I'm talking about and the ages they mostly occur.

Between the ages of:
7 yrs old and 15 yrs old.
Why? You ask?

Your mama
(So many Mama jokes, I don’t know where to start!)

Your sister or brother
One day you will either defend them
you will fight them.

Yep, it makes you do all kinds of shit and you’ll have no idea why.

You’ll get tired of motherfuckers taking your lunch money and shit.

This is about the age that you realize, that in some fucked up way;
you are different from everyone else.
Normally, the kid you’re fighting
is the one who brings it to your attention.

Between 16 and 24 yrs old.

It’s nature.
Can’t be helped. It’s in our DNA to survive and reproduce
and like most other species on the planet,
we fight to get and keep our females.

After you’ve gone through all this bullshit
and finally have created this thing that is so very important to you,
some asshole has to come and fuck you over?
Yes. Some asshole will try.

And good old fashioned Stupidity.
Any dude + Drunk + any other drunk dude = good old fashioned Stupidity

Between 25yrs old and 42 yrs old.
(A little old to fight, right?  Wrong.)

Your woman
By that I mean: Other men and your woman

Your family
You will protect your family.

Your home
You will defend your home.

Your property
Your going to let someone just take your shit?  I don’t think so.

Last but not least…

Your money
That shit can buy you fun, love, a fly ass crib and the dope ride?
Goddamn right you’re gonna fight to get and keep it.

Ok, back to the original question and why I’m saying every male of our species must have at least two of these real and meaningful fights in his lifetime.

A Bad Man will learn, accept and live
the lessons taught by these fights.

When you win, you’ll feel these changes in yourself.

Personal power

And when you loose:

Self doubt
(I don’t know if there is a more pussy word than meek.)

No one can tell a guy who has never won a fight, how winning a fight will make you feel.  That guy, no matter what his reaction may seem like, won’t know until he does it himself.

The same goes for loosing.

The first time you win and loose, brings a false sense of the good and bad.
The second time you win and loose however, will make shit real clear.

You are not the shit, yet you are NOT to be fucked with.
You will know exactly what you are capable of.
No bragging. Cowards brag to make other think they're cool.
No doubt. When it's on... It's on.
No fear. Only calculation...
And you won’t know
(if there is a more pussy word than meek.)

The Bottom line.

We (Men) must know and have and control of our power, never being overconfident.  We must know that none of this is about “us” as an individual but “us” as in the families we build, the friends we make and what and how provide for and protect them.

When we do things, there is no doubt that we are doing the right thing.  Fear, is motivation.  Helpless doesn’t occur… EVER.

And as for meek… there is no more pussy a word.

"Now, I want a good, clean fight.
Touch gloves,
go back to your corners,
wait for the bell.
Good luck fellas!"

PS. It is never okay for a man to hit a woman.

The Bad Man
